Hello! My name is Shelly, and I guess I am what you can call a “hamster hobbyist”. My main goal of this blog is to document my hamsters lives so I always have the memories. I love everything about these furry little creatures! My venture into hamsters started only a short time ago, around April 2009. After researching about them, I quickly realized that most information you get in petstores is completely wrong! One example is that the majority of the cages I’ve come across in stores are only suitable for a dwarf, and thats if you are willing to connect them on to few other cages. I also can’t count how many times I’ve heard a PetStore employee telling a potential buyer that roborovskis cant bite. I’ve decided to spend as much time as I can educating everybody about the proper care of our furry little friends. Too many of them end up in poor housing conditions, or even dumped at rescues and shelters (or worse!) because the owners were never given the right resources before making the decision.
